Graphic design & Corporate identity

When it comes to creating or redesigning the visual identity of a corporation, project, publication or institution, it is generally not a good idea to rely on fonts that were originally created for other people and corporations. The effect of type is subtle, but very
powerful. When you express yourself with a typeface created over a hundred years ago, there is a real risk of fading into the background noise of modern communication.

So what are your choices? Either:

a - Commission a unique, custom-made typeface
b - Adapt an existing typeface to suit your communication.
c - Select a non-exclusive licensed typeface out of millions

What to do? Well, it depends on the client, the situation and the companies and brands involved, of course. You can find out more about this tricky dilemma by clicking on the options above.
